One of my favorite singer-songwriters is a lovely lady called Brooke Fraser. It just so happens she is also one of the many talented worship leaders at Hillsong Church, which I've been attending during my time in Sydney.
One night when I was keeping the kids while Jules was away, Maddy woke up twice from a bad dream, so I brought her downstairs with me to calm her down. It just so happens Brooke was on Hey Hey its Saturday that night singing her single, Something in the Water (watch the oh-so-adorable music video here).
Ever since then its been one of Maddy's favorite songs (although, she only actually remembers bits and pieces of it). The other night she was delighting us with her musical talents, so I captured a bit on video.
The best part, though, was when Blake decided he wanted to have a go. Needless to say, that child never fails to entertain. On the first attempt he got so caught up in the "doo doo doos" that he completely forgot what he was doing. On the second try, even after some prompting from Ashley, he just decided to make up his own words.
I'm really going to miss these guys when I'm gone! Only a few more weeks until I head north...crazy times ahead!
