Happenings

So I realize its been an incredibly long time since I've posted on here, which I have no excuse for given that we FINALLY have wireless (you can let out a little cheer for that...I did). Yay! In all fairness, I've been trying to post this for a few days now but the internet wouldn't load my pictures for some reason.
Honestly, though, not too much has been happening this month. We've gotten into a pretty steady routine around here, and I've had some fun outings with friends, but nothing too adventurous. I have been enjoying the unseasonable cool weather, though. We've had a few hot days, but I've been warned to brace myself for the times ahead...

We had a big weekend, though, celebrating Ashley's 7th birthday at a Hawaiian pool party at her grandparents' house. It was a lot of work (especially for Jules and the grandparents) but it ended up being loads of fun...despite the 20+ 6-7 year olds running around everywhere.

I also had a chance to visit my friend at the famous (infamous?) Bondi Beach. I made sure to go on my day off last Thursday because I hear its a nightmare over the weekend. Its very touristy and gets really crowded in the afternoon, but definitely worth seeing while I'm here.

Its nearly been 3 months since I got here. I haven't done as much as I would like yet outside of the general Sydney area, but there's still 6 more months to go, so I'm not too worried yet! Overall things are going really well...except for the crazy bad sunburn I got at Bondi on the back of my legs...ouch!
