This time tomorrow I will officially be on a plane to Sydney, Australia! Well, actually to LA then to Sydney.
It is so crazy to me how God worked out the entire plan--one that didn't even seem possible a month ago. After randomly signing up as an Au Pair on a website about 4 weeks ago, I got in contact with a family living just outside of Sydney, and everything quickly fell into place...very quickly. So now I am scrambling to finish last minute details and frantically packing, weighing, and then repacking my bags as I prepare for an 8-month trip to land down under. I'm definitely excited/anxious/nervous/stressed but I don't think the reality has really hit me yet.
I'm going to Australia. Half-way around the world. For 8 months.
And so I invite you to travel with me (not literally, of course...) as I begin what will hopefully be a life-changing event. And no, despite several requests, I will not bring you home a kangaroo.
